This was the perfect trek that combined the history of Mexico's ancient civilizations with Oaxaca's rich natural beauty and epic views! Our host was great and guided us on an trek that ended in a breathtaking view that left us in awe of the magical energy that makes Huayapan and Oaxaca so special. This is a truly one-of-a-kind experience—impossible to replicate and unforgettable in every way. Be prepared to sweat:)

We had such a beautiful hike. The host is charismatic and knowledgable. He guided us through the area very well and had lots of insight into the history and agriculture of the area. And it was really beautiful! As an Airbnb staffer, I go on lots of experiences and this one stood out as a truly insightful and energized local experience.

This is a great option to get into nature in the surrounding hills of Oaxaca, and out of city life. We did an early morning hike that was a good exercise, while learning about indigenous culture and seeing beautiful views. The host is kind and very knowledgeable. You should definitely wear hiking shoes, and be able to hike up some rocks. We enjoyed it! Was a beautiful respite from being in downtown Oaxaca! You will a taxi or private care to get you there.
