Lewes’ best gastro pub, The Swan pub on Southover (3 mins walk) SUPERB food (good vegetarian and some vegan) and drinks and beer garden. Very friendly. Eclectic vinyl record collection and pub quiz on Sunday nights (although they stop taking food orders at 5pm on Sundays). Advise booking table in advance: 01273 480211

It was refurbished a few years ago and it has become the centre of the community. It's so friendly. The most delicious fish-finger sandwich ever! Beer wonderful too.

Great pub. Great veggie options (also meat and fish) cool garden. Best Sunday lunch, including veggie options (plural!) Good music too. Book well in advance for inside, no booking for garden but first come, first served.
