This is the biggest bear sanctuary in Europe, where all present bears were saved from cruel places. They are free in the forest, but tours take place only early in the morning when bears are being fed by employees. We also recommend this place because hearing their stories is heartwarming and every contribution leads to saving more bears in the future. Libearty is located in Zarnesti (17km away).

Here you can have very informative guided tours (by volunteers animals lovers) for visitors in the biggest brown bear sanctuary from Europe. All the bears here have theire “own stories”. Also other beautiful animals live here. Check out the opening hours first.

Libearty Bear Sanctuary is the biggest brown bear sanctuary from Europeand has the largest surface in the world. Here, 75 bears found a nice home in this 5 stars welfare facility. Here you can see happy bears in their natural environment, after a bad life in circuses and zoo cages.
