Such an historic site! Iron Age hill fort. Built 1st century BC. Fantastic walks on the grounds… and just a few miles from the nine stones…a prehistoric circle constructed some 4,000 yrs ago! Incredible!

Largest man-made Iron Age earthworks in Europe - I think! More impressive from the top than the bottom. You can park in Dorchester and walk there, if you're up to it.

Iron Age hill fort 2.5 kilometres south west of Dorchester, in the English county of Dorset. Hill forts were fortified hill-top settlements constructed across Britain during the Iron Age.
