The Witterings are beautiful, the little village has several places to eat, my favorite is Drifters bar but there are Cafe's and pubs all along that stretch. If you want to park up and spend the day on the beach you can head to Wittering Beach Car Park but you need to book ahead during peak season. If you download the Just Park parking app and put in West Wittering it's £10 for the day at the weekend. There is a Café there and you can also hire surfboards and paddle boards, or walk the long sandy stretch of beach. It gets very crowded.

Our closest fully sandy beach, with great facilities, large grassy area and nice walks at the entrance to Chichester Harbour. You must pre-book car parking. Ask other attractions in this area.

Parking expensive but worth it for the day. Cafes and facilities, blue flag beach and watersports centre. Advance parking recommended in summer when it gets busy. Lovely walking around the spit and into West Wittering - check Alltrails or National Trust websites for recommendations

Glorious unspoilt sandy beach that stretches for miles. About a 45 minute drive from the cottage. You have to pay for parking so take cash! If going in summer months, I would advise going early as the roads can get busy around to the beach.

A mile or so along the beach - the main carpark beach has cafe, parking,water-sports lessons at 2XS . It is a large sandy beach that can be extraordinarily busy in the summer !
