Delicious fine dining restaurant, no reservations required. Great place if your in the mood for a good steak, some seafood or some Italian food. They also have an extensive wine list!

In 1965 Ann Lorenz and her son Billy Browskey founded The Char in downtown Beckley. In 1975, The Char moved to our current location in a beautiful woodland setting on Dry Hill Road. For over 50 years, we have been delighting our customers with the finest dining experience in the area. Today, Donna and Brian Williams continue the tradition of excellence that has made The Char Beckley’s finest. We offer the same excellent menu in an updated and inviting setting. Come relax and enjoy the magnificent view of our pond while enjoying the best steaks, seafood and chops cooked to order.

Fine dining in a beautiful setting. A favorite among locals for special occasions. We recommend the lamb chop, but it's all delicious!
