If you want to sail the lagoon, the best option is on a sailboat to be able to listen the sounds of the lagoon.

There are several sailing operations in Bacalar, this is one of our favorites. We like the people who run it and the boat captains. It is approx. $42 per trip per person. There are sailboats on the Xul-ha section of the Laguna - we have not yet learned if they are public and how to access.
