Standing tall on the banks of the River Tees and just a stone’s throw from the historic market town of Stockton-on-Tees, Tees Barrage boasts an impressive assortment of adventurous activities suitable for all ages and abilities and Air Trail is the newest addition to this exciting adventure hub. Situated on a small peninsula dividing the river, Air Trail Tees Barrage opened its gates in early 2016 and is the BIGGEST of its kind in the UK, reaching an impressive 18 meters – it’s the same height as four double decker buses! Incorporated, are two zip lines (rails) that whizz explorers the full length of the structure, the only ones in the world outside of the US. Plus, there’s also Air Tykes, a smaller version of Air Trail that allows mini explorers who aren’t tall enough to have their own adventure.
