$7 for the day to rent bikes but you have to dock them at a station every 30 minutes to not get charged extra. I love taking them down to the Capitol and Mall.

DC is a bike-friendly city and offers the Capital Bike Share program to make biking easy and cheap. The nearest bike station is at the corner of First and D Street, SE (1.5 blocks/5 minute walk). Bikes can be dropped off/picked up at any of the program’s hundreds of stations around the DC area. Check out capitalbikeshare.com for details.
