Where Pilgrims FIRST landed Most people miss the real significance of this historic site. Commemorated by a cross (not a rock), this is where European settlers first landed in the new world. And the first act of the first settlers was to celebrate Mass. This is not only a must see peacefull, prayerful site, but rich in history. If you come to Saint Augustine and don't visit this site you've missed the real history of the City and our country.
