Lovely secluded beach, rock pools for everyone to enjoy as well as lots of shady Pohutukawa trees. Great for a day trip, take a picnic lunch.

A hidden gem, well worth the 15 min trek over the end of west end beach. World class spot. Track currently closed from West End, you will need to access this via Otarawairere village at the top of the hill or from the Whakatane side.

Walk down from the cliff top or across the track from West End Beach to get to this beautiful beach, which is only accessible by foot. Breathtaking views,a small waterfall and you might even see a blue penguin (there is a colony living just out from the bay).

Unique Shelly beaches. Go to west end Ohope beach, you then find stairs in the corner of the beach that take you over the hill
