Kleine Berlin is a complex of air-raid tunnels that was built during World War II. Located at the base of Scorcola Hill, the complex consists of two distinct yet connected parts: a section built by the Italians and used by the population during air-raids, and a section built by German soldiers that was used both for storage and as an air-raid shelter. Famous for enabling the incredible escape of General Odilo Globocnik and his faithful followers in the turbulent days following the Allied capture of the city, the complex is one of the few of its kind open to the public. This is the largest complex of underground antiaircraft galleries, dating back to the Second World War , still existing inTrieste . Given its hilly conformation, Trieste is crossed by numerous anti-aircraft galleries, but the kleine Berlin complex is particular for its size, its size, and for being open to the public. Vi sono ospitate raccolte di oggetti e storie dell'epoca e una mostra fotografica sui bombardamenti subiti dalla città di Trieste.

Kleine Berlin è un complesso di gallerie, costruite dall'esercito tedesco, risalenti al periodo della Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Il ricovero antiaereo denominato Kleine Berlin, oggi visitabile, è composto da una galleria antiaerea pubblica per la popolazione civile e da un ricovero antiaereo militare tedesco, composto da una galleria principale e da diramazioni laterali. Una di queste presenta sulla volta un pozzo che, all'epoca, era munito di una scala a chiocciola e serviva al comandante delle SS Globocnik per recarsi dalla sua abitazione al Palazzo di Giustizia.
