With lots of independent shops, cafes, and bars you will be spoilt for choice, make sure to explore the old town with its narrow-cobbled streets, you will find quaint shops including shop selling Whitby Jet that's considered to be the best jet around and found in the cliff of Whitby. You can also go on guided walks around Whitby.

The train station, aswell as linking yo up to the NYMR, follows the Esk Valley to Middlesbrough. There is some stunning scenery along the way.
