Perfect spot to swim in the New River, skip stones, and have a picnic. We recommend bringing floatation devices and chairs. But, be prepared. You'll travel over a one lane wood bridge as you're approaching the park.

Great place to go swimming in the river and have a picnic. They have a small beach area and picnic tables. Can also take a hike and see some old cabins along the river.

Part of the New River State Park, the recently added Elk Shoals property features river access with a free swim beach area. The swim area is open from sunrise to sunset and has ample parking.
