Barong Dance was originally an embodiment of the supernatural ruler in Bali. At that time the Balinese people used this Barong Dance to repel the disturbance of supernatural beings that were there. There are several versions of history that tell about the history of the formation of this Barong Dance. First from Hindu mythology which explains that barong taken from the word Bahruang in Sanskrit is an animal that is considered to have magical powers and is often referred to as a protector of goodness.
