Mission District Views from Private Floor with Attached Bath

Your room and attached bathroom occupy the entire first floor. You get as much privacy as you like and can access the common areas of the house on the second floor. The space features well-crafted furnishings using solid wood, marble, and steel. (Just because you’re a visitor doesn’t mean your room should feel temporary.) After a day in the City, slumber in a foam-top, queen-sized bed outfitted with 100% cotton sheets and down comforter/pillows. Of course, synthetic options are also available. Watch the City from the comfort of your own chair and bedroom windows. There’s also a desk to get some work emails out. A large wool rug adds warmth to the room’s solid hardwood floors. In addition to the full closet with wood hangers and a luggage tray, efficient storage in the room provide plenty of space for your belongings. The in-room TV is 46 inches and has its own AppleTV with Netflix, Hulu and HBO included. Plug in and recharge with smartphone cables at the ready on both nightstands. Get a feel for Silicon Valley and control your lights with smarthome light fixtures. For those of us who prefer more traditional technology, there’s a k-cup coffee maker and a mini-fridge for any leftover you bring home from SF’s many fine restaurants. Your private, ensuite bath is stocked with natural hair and body care products from San Francisco’s own Griffin Remedy. Cotton swabs and toothbrush/paste are provided. The rainfall style shower has strong water pressure. 100% Pima Cotton bath towels and mats are provided and replenished. In addition to a hair dryer, there’s a shaving/makeup mirror for you to look your best in our fair City. Your in-room minibar is complimentary and the house has high speed internet everywhere. Your area on the first floor is fully stocked for a great stay - even if you don't take advantage of the common area upstairs. Should you chose, make yourself at home in the living room and attached deck. You will not share the space with any other Airbnb guests and can use it during the day and in the evenings. It’s a great place to bring your morning coffee and plan your day or have a night cap and rehash the day's adventure. During the weekdays, you'll likely have the house to yourself in the mornings. The stove and oven are not available for guest access, but feel free to use the microwave in the kitchen. Please only eat at the dining table and clean the dishes right after you are done eating. The dining table is also a great place to get work done while watching the tropical fishes in the salt water aquarium. Think of me as your personal concierge. I’m an Airbnb regular when traveling for work and fun - so I’ve got a pretty good idea on what makes for a great trip/host. I’ve also lived in San Francisco for over 20 years - first as a starving college student and now as someone with a steady paycheck. I know the City from every budget and interest angle. If you just need a place to sleep, your space on the first floor is completely private and carefully appointed so you immediately feel at home. You’ll be able to use all of its amenities without any interaction with me. If you are more social, I love meeting new people - especially over food and drinks in the evenings. Bernal Heights is a special neighborhood. It feels like a small town while still being centrally-located. It's easy to live like a local or visit all the tourist spots without battling the traffic. With an 83 Walkscore, you are close to the action. Walk to Harvest Hills Market, Precita Park Cafe, Hillside Supperclub, and two corner markets. 24th Street and all of its amenities start at just three blocks away. All forms of shared and public transport are also right in the neighborhood. Rent bikes at Ford GoBike station, electric bikes at Scoot, and cars at Zipcar. 24th Street BART Station is a 20 minute walk away. One bus ride takes you to Union Square and the Cable Cars. Proximity to the 101 and 280 makes for quick freeway access to and from SFO, Silicon Valley and Wine Country. It also makes things super easy and quick for Lyft/uber. Unlike many parts of San Francisco, street parking remains free in Bernal Heights. Parking can get busy at the end of the work day, but I’ve never had a problem finding a spot. Complimentary disposable slippers are provided - just like a good luxury hotel. Please use the slippers, your socks, or go barefoot in the house (just no shoes). San Francisco is both beautiful and dirty. Flexible check-in and check-out times may be available with advance notice. At a minimum, we can arrange for you to store your luggage at the house. Most important, San Francisco is a diverse, open, and progressive town. Everyone is welcomed to book here. National origin, race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or political affiliation is not as important as being a nice person.

Breezy hike to Cascade Falls and Three Wells. Take in the rustic-chic vibe of this century-old hideaway in the midst of towering treetops. Bask in the scents and sounds of nature as you enjoy breakfast on the deck, or brush up on your piano skills from the comfort of the sun-drenched music room. Gather for alfresco outdoor dining off the kitchen. Following a day's hike from one of the many trail heads relax and take in the beauty from the decks. Views from every room to the surrounding forest. Down a long path is the entrance of the home. Not appropriate for guests with limited mobility. Renovated with new furnishings, beds and high quality linens. Refinished original hardwood floors throughout. Renovated kitchen features restored vintage Wedgewood range, Kohler farmhouse sink with Brizo faucet, new Kitchen Aid dishwasher, and custom cabinetry. Thoughtfully designed custom lighting, as well as lighting by Restoration Hardware & Rejuvenation. My husband and I live in the neighboring town of Tiburon, and use this home occasionally as a nearby retreat to rest, enjoy the outdoors, and spend family time with our kids living in nearby San Francisco. Kindly note our strict policy precluding any gatherings larger than 6 guests. To access the house, please note the entry includes a relatively long pathway leading to our home. The redwood steps are newly built and comply with code standards for outdoor steps (evenly spaced, graded with proper incline, and tread height). Due to the many steps it may be challenging for those with limited mobility or small children. You have access to the entire home during your stay, as well as nearby public walking trails into town. I will provide my guests with access information to the house a couple of days before arrival. There will be additional information about the house on a welcome letter there inside; and, while your privacy will be completely respected, we are happy to be available to answer questions. Nestled in the hills, the property boasts a scenic walking path which leads down into Mill Valley town square. The nearby station offers bus transportation into San Francisco. Muir Woods National Monument is also located within an easy drive or an adventurous two and a half mile hike. It is most convenient to drive to our place. To get around Mill Valley there are many interesting walking paths and trails to explore the immediate area. Uber and Lyft are convenient for rides leaving the town square. For day trips into San Francisco, ferries depart from nearby Sausalito & Tiburon. Also, bus transportation into SF leaves from the Mill Valley town square. House layout includes— upstairs: one queen bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, vintage style bathroom, deck with dining furniture, office, and music/art room—this level does not have central heating, but does have radiant floor heating in bathroom, remote control heater in bedroom, & radiant heaters in kitchen and living room. downstairs: three bedrooms, cedar lined bathroom, living room with TV, laundry room, and two decks with lounge furniture; this level does have central heating. Our place accommodates a maximum of 6 guests.The rate includes the City of Mill Valley 12% taxes (hospitality & tourism).

While away summer evenings on the terrace of this historic Victorian home on a quiet street. Stroll to the top of Bernal Heights for splendid views of the city, sink into the cozy gray sofa with a magazine, or meditate in the leafy courtyard garden. Registration number: STR-0001998 Note: if you are 2 people and you need the sofa to be set up, an extra $65 fee will need to be paid to compensate the higher cleaning fee requested by our cleaning lady. Thank you for your understanding! Our space is unique because situated in the heart of Bernal Heights while being in a very quiet street with low traffic. It has great day light and the living room is facing the lush garden! Our location also gives easy access to San Francisco most popular spots while being close to the airport (roughly 20 minutes ride). Access to highways 101 and 280 down the hill gives a rapid access to San Francisco best spots as well as the South and East bay. Public transportation or uber/lyft are other options for your commutes. Important: please note that there is an additional one time $60 fee to get the sleeper sofa set up if you are only 2 guests and need two separate beds. The apartment and deck are for your private use. You are welcome to use the garden (shared with us) to relax and enjoy sunny California! We live in the main house upstairs and are always happy to assist our guests and to meet them to answer any question they might have and give them advice about what to do/see in the bay area. Please check our guidebook where we have listed our favorite spots in the city! We can easily be reached by sms or through the airbnb app. We are usually really responsive. Bernal is one of the cutest and most walkable neighborhoods in San Francisco. It has a unique village atmosphere and energy. The apartment is ideally located close to Cortland with its great restaurants, grocery shops, cafes, and bars. Public transit: The flat is just a 10 minute walk from Mission Street, where you can catch the 14/14L/49 buses, which come frequently and drop you off at 24th/Mission BART, giving you easy access to downtown, San Francisco International airport and East Bay. Bus 24 is just a block away and will take you to Noe Valley, the Castro, lower pacific heights and all the way to the marina and the presidio. The flat is also 10 minutes walk from the J Church muni that will take you to cool places such as Noe Valley, Dolores Park and all the way to downtown. Bus 23 is 5 minutes away and will take you to ocean beach. Ride Sharing: Uber and Lyft are a great bet for getting around the city without a parking burden. If you download these apps you can expect to be picked up within minutes for transport to your destination for reasonable fares. Parking: the street parking in the neighborhood is easier than many SF neighborhoods. You can expect to find easy free street parking if you would like to rent a car.

Charming Guest Room in 1907 Cottage on Russian Hill

Begin a relaxing morning out on the porch, then head to the local international market and delis. This fully-equipped suite features a comfy 4-poster bed, kitchenette, and charming dining area. It's all the comforts of home with a 20th-century vibe. Annie’s Cottage offers charming accommodations within walking distance of Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Square, China Town, North Beach and other San Francisco favorites. Our unique San Francisco lodging on Russian Hill is convenient to many interesting shops and boutiques nearby. The historic San Francisco cable car system is only a short 1/2 block away. The accommodation is very private with a separate entrance and private deck. Since we are behind another building there is very little street noise. It is like being in the country in the middle of San Francisco. There is a queen bed and also a sofa bed but it is an additional cost. Three people, 2 beds add $15 per night, two people 2 beds add $7.50 per night. I live on the property so I am usually available by phone or text. At this time there is no personal interaction The home is located in an eclectic neighborhood with residents of all ages. It is 1/2 block to the cable car and 2.5 blocks from the popular Polk Street, which offers an array of ethnic restaurants and shops. It is within walking distance to North Beach and China Town. The vibrant Financial District is also close by. The cable car line, going to Fishermans Wharf and Union Square is 1/2 block away, Buses going all directions are 2 1/2 blocks away.

On the same block as the home you also have the muni bus which goes to golden gate park, Golden Gate Bridge and the presidio.
