The Res Unit

This barn style (artisanal) unit is a building experiment. We attempted a honest space that is modest yet delivers on the spatial needs of an occupant. We have pushed building materials to their end and happy with the result. It is not fancy but tasteful with an intimate touch. The step down shower made of raw concrete can double up as a tub. It is fully kitted kitchenette with a two plate gas stove, bar fridge, microwave and kettle. This unit overlooks a tucked wooden deck for your use.

It is within walking distance of an art gallery, cafés and restaurants, St Augustine and Entabeni hospitals and Pigeon Valley. The KZN University of Durban is a 2 minutes drive away and 5 minutes from the Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine. We are centrally placed, 5 minutes by car from Durban City centre and 10 minutes from central surfing / swimming beaches and shopping centres.

Our garden cottage is situated above our home and has a separate entrance with a carport. It is a perfect place to relax with harbour and city views. The cottage is situated close to UKZN (1.4km), DUT (3km), St Augustine’s Hospital (900m), LifeHealth Entabeni Hospital (1km) and King Edward VIII Hospital (3.8 km). Popular restaurants, coffee shops, yoga studios and the artisanal Glenwood Bakery are nearby.

Chill Spot

2 bedrooms with a queen and double bed. Each room has airconditioning which is a big plus for Durban. A secure quiet haven, with a food forest behind it. 2 bedroom maisonette, built in 1926, still has high ceilings. The unit gets serviced once a week, and you can request to have your washing done. There is a smoking area outside with table and chairs.
