Within walking distance from Taaibosch, Pink Valley and Avontuur Wine and stud farm. Just across the R44 Ken Forrester Wines is luring. For the outdoor enthusiasts Helderberg provide trails for hiking and mtbiking and our dam covers swimming, rowing and sundowners.

Huckleberry House

Huckleberry House is tucked away against the Witzenberg Mountains in the beautiful Tulbagh valley. It is surrounded by a vineyard, old Oaks and Wild Olive trees in a beautiful shady garden. The house is very spacious, newly renovated in a unique and tasteful style and is the perfect place to make special memories for family and friends. Each bedroom theme is influenced by a country (Bali, India and Japan) and there is a Kolkol hot-tub on the covered veranda. Furry friends are welcome :)

The Unbound - Escape the Ordinary

Welcome to The Unbound, a unique experience where each moment transcends the ordinary, blending the serenity of nature with the comfort of opulent luxury. An off-grid solar-powered house, perched on the side of the Hawequa mountains overlooking the Breede River valley. It embodies a peaceful escape from the ordinary. NOTE: The road up the mountain is rough. Only 4x4s or high-clearance SUVs can reach the house. A shuttle is available from Calabash Pub, which you can arrange when booking.

This unit is freestanding and suited for four guests & is newly renovated from November 2025. The main en suite bedroom has one queen size bed and the second room has the option of either two single beds or one king size bed. With an open plan kitchen with gas stove, microwave oven, fridge, kettle and toaster, you will be able to prepare almost any meal. To make your stay extra comfortable we supply all the luxuries you will need, including towels, swimming towels, good quality linen.

Situated on a small holding 5km outside Franschhoek, opposite the exquisite La Motte Wine Estate, Heidi’s Barn offers the perfect self-catering base from which to explore the Winelands. The area provides excellent choices for hiking, swimming, kloofing, birding, driving, wine tasting, seeing snow in winter or just relaxing. The cottage is equipped with gas stove, fridge and hot water and has a solar panel installation for charging electronic devices.
