The Lakeside River House

The cottage lies on the banks of Lake Rousseau. This is a very interesting lake. The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. A vegetable garden awaits you for free picking and baked goods can be ordered ahead of time to be delivered freshly baked and warm to your door step. Get lost in the beauty of the giant mossy oaks or stop by the pony pen to give them some love. If available there could be stalls and paddocks available for your own horses to stay as well.
