Wake up to the morning sun over the lake in the loft, or rise after the sun in one of the two back bedrooms. Enjoy a morning coffee or tea while enjoying the lake view from the live edge bar top overlooking the water and watch for the Swans, Bald Eagles, and Blue Herons. After a hike on the trails, kayaking up the lake into conservation land, or fishing off the dock, relax in the hot tub. As the sun sets over the trees cuddle up on the couch with a good book and keep an ear out for the owls.

Our Little Lakehouse

Please come and relax at our little lake house. Nestled at the end of a dead end on one of CT’s cleanest lakes, Columbia Lake. Purchased in the summer of 2024; the entirety of the home has been professionally renovated. A quick 15 minute drive to both UCONN and Eastern, the property is both secluded, but not too far from the beaten path. Water Forest retreat is a very private 122ft.² electrified and heated cedar octagon next to a brook on 56 acres of forest with a pond, waterfall, marsh and hiking trails. Cozy up in this quiet comfortable space while listening to Goldmine brook while you sleep. Boondocks Oasis On The River

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. There is a beautiful river on property where you can swim safely, fish and float down. Only 2-3 feet deep so fun for kids. Fire pit, lighted gazebo and lots of wildlife-nothing better than waking up to see deer in the orchard, hear the peeper frogs at night or watch birds making their nests. There is a shelter near the river with a campfire to enjoy. Located at the end of dead end road so safe for kids to play or ride bikes.

Backyard Tiny House in the Woods

Cozy rustic tiny house nestled in the forest behind our home. Enjoy a private wooded setting, warm wood interiors, and an arched ceiling that opens the space. Climb to the loft for a comfy queen bed and peaceful views of the trees. A simple, quiet retreat perfect for unwinding in nature. The stairs to the loft are very steep and the ceiling is low up there. It would not be ideal for for children or those who can’t climb the stairs.
