A space to rest and relax in the Scottish Borders

Part of a Steading (barn) sympathetically converted in 2006, overlooking woods and fields from its own enclosed garden. The cottage is ideaI for exploring the Scottish Borders and Northumberland. One hour by car from Edinburgh, 35 mins from Lindisfarne and 45 mins from Bamburgh. If you'd like to leave the car at home and cycle to us it is 13 miles from the station at Berwick-upon-Tweed. Tucked away down a small lane, you can walk or cycle from the door or simply sit and watch the wildlife.

Situated in a quiet courtyard in the borders town of Coldstream. Ideal for walkers, golfers, fishing or just visiting the historic Scottish borders. Only 4 miles from Flodden battlefield, Kelso 10 miles Berwick 14 miles, Edinburgh less than an hour away. 2 Local pubs to chose from all within 5 minutes walk. The name Bothy means a refuge for travelers. The price includes airbnb's charges which I can do nothing about, we charge £70 per night the rest is airbnb commission.

Orchard Cottage, Dog Friendly, River Access

Silver award winner for North East Tourism Awards 2026 'Self Catering Accommodation of the Year'. Located on Tiptoe Farm within the Northumberland countryside. The Orchard Cottage is situated in an idyllic orchard garden surrounded by apple and plum trees. There is private access to over a mile of the River Till and ancient woodland. The bedrooms have stunning views of the River Till valley towards The Cheviot hills and Northumberland National Park .

Abbey House

The large, attractive, walled garden which surrounds the house is a peaceful, secluded haven with superb views over the Nun's Walk, the River Tweed and out to Flodden Field and the Cheviot Hills beyond. Yet Coldstream's pubs and shops are all within a few minutes' walk from the house. With prime Lower Tweed beats just a few minutes' drive from the house (including Tillmouth, Lennel, and The Lees), Abbey House provides an ideal base for fishing parties.

The cottage sits in the heart of the historic Hirsel Estate, close to the Hirsel Lake and the Hirsel Homestead where you will find a cafe and farmshop, a pottery, glass workshop and artist studio as well as a museum. Way marked walks are available throughout the Estate.
