Buttermilk Cottage is situated in rural North Cornwall on the edge of a working farm within equal distance of the historic town of Launceston and the coast at Crackington Haven. A beautifully appointed cottage converted from an old barn, with woodburner and secure garden. Guests are welcome to explore our disused railway line now transformed into a trail found by going through the gate in the garden. Cancleave has been in our family since 1962. During the winter of 2020/21 it underwent a complete reconstruction to create a modern, energy-efficient and supremely comfortable retreat. Nestled on the coast road between Crackington Haven and Widemouth Bay, the property occupies around half an acre of lawned garden bordering the South West Coast Path. From here you can enjoy breathtaking views across Bude Bay as far as Lundy Island, as well as inland vistas stretching all the way to Dartmoor.
