On 23 acre horse farm with 510 feet of private beach and 1 1/2 miles of walking trails. Relax, enjoy eagles, blue heron, seals, and an occasional Orca.

The Captains Quarters at Sylvanrude is a step into a forest of Douglas Fir, Cedar, and Hemlock. The small apartment is above a garage, and is equipped with a coved ceiling bathroom, (tall folks beware) full kitchen, cozy sleeping area with a new queen bed on antique frame, TV with DVDs only, (wifi is through MIFI, a Verizon source), a private beach fire pit with beach access, and the most amazing sunsets over Case Inlet. If you are a bird watching enthusiast, don't forget the binoculars!

The Creamery

Nestled between the barn and the milking parlor is The Creamery; a relaxing spot to spend a few days far from the rigors of the city. Here we made Dinah's Cheese for years, and now you can enjoy the sunrise from the comfort of your plush bed, warmed by the thick down comforter. The French Limousin cows may come up to your bedroom window, curious as to who is sharing the pastures this morning. The quiet will be startling, with little noise but coffee brewing in the kitchen.

We are 10 min from state parks, hikes, beaches, restaurants, water sport rentals, kid fun, & antique stores. You will be staying in a stylish TINY house (300 sqft) w/loft & private downstairs bedroom. Fresh produce, gardens, farm animals, & a homesteading family happy to introduce you to the animals and share their homesteading knowledge with you.
