You can walk to the local market, restaurants and downtown Tybee Island. You can see the pier from the deck and of course the ocean. Walking distance to restaurants and marinas in Thunderbolt (this is on the same side of the bridge as the marinas and restaurants of Thunderbolt- sometimes the map shows it across but it is really on the same side and an easy nice walk).
