We want to offer visitors to Hobart a unique & luxurious accommodation experience, which connects modern design with its rugged, bush environment. Located in West Hobart, we are a short 8 minute drive to the Salamanca water front. Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

Family friendly accommodation located 5-minutes' walk to the Triabunna waterfront, wharf and shopping precinct. A great place to stay if you are visiting Maria Island, Port Arthur, Richmond, Hobart, Swansea, Coles Bay, Freycinet or Bicheno which are able to be done as day trips. You instantly feel “at home” at the blackshack. Please Note: Our very last booking weekend will be the 5th June 2026 to allow us to prepare for the sale of our Airbnb/home.
