Our property is ideal for visiting South Wales and is in a perfect Location and within easy reach of Cardiff, Cardiff Bay, Newport and the Welsh Valleys with plenty to do in the area including Cycling, Golf at the various Golf courses including the nearby Celtic Manor resort. Plenty of walks and countryside activities including the nearby Zip wires, Big Pit museum , Cwmcarn downhill MTB and nearby seaside resorts you will be close to everything at your stay at this centrally-located place.

The Retreat Cottage

This cottage is set next to our house, with its own driveway, which parks 2/3 cars. The garden is semi enclosed, which is great for dogs, with a stream running through it.. There is a patio area with furniture for outside dining and a bbq. The nearest pub, The Maenllwyd Inn, is approx. 15 min walk via the road or a little longer through the woods. There is also a driveway leading into a wood which is perfect for strolls over to the nearby Draethen and Ruperra Castle and the beautiful views.

A spacious 3 bedroom house located just a 5 minute walk away from Blackwood town and some lovely walks along the sirhowy river or even through the mountainous valleys. Parking is located at the property on a quiet street. There is also a very nice restaurant/pub just around the corner which over looks the river. The property is around 30 minutes away from Cardiff and 30 minutes away from the Brecon Beacons National Park. There is also a train station nearby.

Breakfast basics are included with fresh eggs from our hens when available Please be aware that this is only accessible by a single tarmac track that winds up the mountain. Access in the winter can be limited.

A spacious bedroom with a double bed and a suitable laptop work space / dressing table with a hairdryer. The bungalow is well situated on the grounds of our main house and has off road parking is available.
