The Canary House -a Renovated Historic Hidden Gem!

Kick back and relax in this calm, just-remodeled space under the oak trees in historic Buffalo Gap. The master bedroom was a 1-room schoolhouse from the 1890's to 1914, where "Miss Sallie" Young taught (after she retired from 54 years in Texas public schools). After many additions and updates, it's now a quiet part of a Church Camp property (which you're welcome to explore). Perini Ranch Restaurant is nearby, as well as several other great places to eat - not to mention Abilene is 8 miles away.

Petite Retreat (Pet Friendly - 1 Small Pet Only)

This cozy cabin escape is perfect for solo travelers or couples seeking a secluded, safe, and affordable place to unwind. Designed for comfort, the space includes a queen bed, a private bathroom, and a functional wet bar equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. While it doesn’t offer a living room or kitchen, the retreat provides everything you need for a comfortable stay including fiber optic internet and WiFi. Pets are allowed but limited to one (1) under 35 lbs.

Secluded railcar and caboose with incredible view

Quiet and peaceful setting overlooking Elm Valley just 9 min from Buffalo Gap. The fully renovated railcar and caboose are connected by a large back patio that boasts one of the most spectacular views in Taylor County. The railcar is the larger of the two and has a king size bed, walk in shower, full kitchen, and living area. The caboose has a queen size bed, small living area, half bath, mini fridge and coffee bar. Smart TVs and WI-FI in each. Relax and unwind at this one of a kind retreat.

With 1,400+ sq ft, it offers a king primary suite, second full bath, fast WiFi, 55” smart TV, fully equipped kitchen, dining/workspace, and two private patios for relaxing. Located off Buffalo Gap Rd near Hendrick Medical Center South, a quick drive to ACU, restaurants, and shopping. Ideal for couples, small families, or business travelers seeking a comfortable, convenient Abilene stay.

Elmwood Cottage

Built in 1945 our home is a craftsman cottage style home is located in Abilene's Old Elmwood neighborhood. Our home is fully furnished with a comfortable style to make you feel like you are at home. Our home is 5 minutes away from McMurry University and 10- 15 minute drive to ACU, and Hardin-Simmons University. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the entire home including both bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, washer/dryer, and back patio. Self checkin with smartlock.

Backyard Bungalow

Private entrance! Very clean, peaceful and centrally-located Backyard Bungalow. Enjoy an extremely comfortable room, including a comfy queen size bed, futon, Wi-fi, TV (use your own streaming service), refrigerator, Keurig coffee pot, microwave and a large walk-in shower. Outside the Bungalow includes a patio and plenty of parking. The yard is a shared yard-space with the main house. I do have 2 very friendly dogs that do not share their yard with other pets.

Country Experience at Dug Out Hideaway

The Dug Out Hideaway is on 10 acres in the country, on the side of a mesa. We have hiking trails through a cedar forest. Wildlife such as deer, fox, racoons, and coyotes could be seen at the feeder near the house. Clear beautiful night sky. Spectacular view overlooking Abilene and countryside. Waterfall on back patio with a view of the mountainside. Large fort for kids to play in.

Welcome to our home. Guests enjoy private use while we are away. This is our personal residence, not a commercial rental, and it is furnished with many of our belongings. It is best suited for quiet, respectful guests visiting the area. Our neighborhood is peaceful and we ask guests to be mindful of neighbors and treat the home with the same care they would their own.
