Cozy Arctic Lakeside Cottage with private sauna

Welcome to our cozy lakeside cottage with private sauna on the Arctic Circle, a warm retreat where Nordic simplicity meets soulful comfort. Set on 2.7 ha of private land with direct access to Lake Miekojärvi, it’s the perfect place to slow down, reconnect, and feel again. We are Joakim from Sweden and Jenny from Germany. We fell in love with the stillness and beauty of Arctic Finland, and we’re excited to share our cottage, and a little piece of that magic, with guests from around the world.

Stay North - Villa Housu

Set in Äkäslompolo near Ylläs ski resort, Housu is a thoughtfully designed home accommodating up to 9 guests. Completed in 2023 with architect Otso Virtanen and the interior designed by Fyra, reflecting meticulous craftsmanship. Finnish spruce defines the warm interior, complementing the Arctic surroundings. Filled with natural light, it features a cosy living area, modern kitchen, and a master bedroom overlooking the terrace and jacuzzi, ideal for relaxation after days of adventure.

Villa in the heart of lapland

The cabin provides comfortable accommodation spaces and a well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare delicious meals after long days. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, one of which has separable beds. Upstairs there's a large bunk beds, WC and a fold-out futon sofa for an extra bed. The sauna is located in a separate outdoor building, accessed through a glazed terrace. An outdoor fireplace is also situated on the terrace, where you can enjoy even the chilliest of evenings.

Äkäsvilla - hirsihuvila tunturissa. Ylläs/Äkäslomp

Uusi uniikki, tunnelmallinen paritalomökki valmistui jouluksi 2023. Äkäsvilla on laatutietoisen lomailijan hirsimökki uudella Röhkömukanmaan alueella Äkäslompolossa. Mökki majoittaa 6 vierasta. Mökki sijaitsee hiihtolatujen, rinteiden ja luontopolkujen välittömässä läheisyydessä. Olohuone/keittiön isoista pohjoisen taivaalle ulottuvista ikkunoista voit ihailla tunturimaisemaa ja iltojen pimetessä nähdä tähtitaivaan ja revontulten loimut. Rinteisiin matkaa 1,4km. Kauppaan 3km

Friluftshuset vid Snöberget

Friluftshuset at Snöberget is located at the foot of the Snöberget Nature Reserve and right by the Råneå River. From here, you can enjoy stunning views of the Lapland landscape just outside the house, while also having easy access to activities such as hiking, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and swimming in the summer. This house is also perfect for viewing the northern lights. In addition, we have a very nice barbecue area in the yard, which guests are more than welcome to use.

You can see Torne river and hear the rapids.

Our cottage is conveniently located along well-maintained roads, making it easily accessible. Situated near the river, the Swedish border is just across the water, allowing for a seamless journey into Sweden, perhaps via the ice road. The absence of unnecessary lights around provides the perfect setting for observing the Northern Lights. Welcome to the unique Villa Varvikko. Our new solid wood villas are located just a few hundred meters from the Ylläs ski resort. The large living room windows offer breathtaking Lapland mountain views and the twinkling lights of Ylläs slopes. The nearby wide ski trails guarantees excellent experiences. Shopping centre (Jounin Kauppa) just 2.5 kilometers away offers a wide range of services. The perfect place to escape everyday life and create unforgettable moments!

Villa Äkäsjoensuu

Tunnelmallinen hirsimökki Äkäsjoen rannassa. Mökin ikkunoista pääset seuraamaan virtaavaa jokea, jonne on matkaa alle 20 metriä. Voit käydä saunan jälkeen uimassa ilman, että on huolta naapureista. Tämä mökki majoittaa 7 henkeä parhaimmillaan, mutta toimii parhaiten alle kuuden hengen kera. Alakerrasta löytyy eteinen, tupakeittiö upealla takalla, sauna, pesuhuone, wc sekä makuuhuone. Yläkerrasta löytyy kaksi makuuhuonetta, joista kummastakin avautuu näkymä luontoon.

Majoitu rauhallisessa mökissä Aavasaksalla, metsän keskellä Lapin luonnon ympäröimänä. Suuret ikkunat avautuvat suoraan ympäröivään maisemaan ja tuovat luonnon lähelle. Täällä voit hidastaa, olla rauhassa ja nauttia hiljaisuudesta. Luonnon rauha, takkatulen loimu, lämmin kylpy, lempeät löylyt – täydellinen kokonaisuus rentoutumiseen ystävien tai perheen kanssa. Nauti illasta nuotion tai takan ääressä, katsele luontoa ja Lapin taivasta, hyvällä onnella näet revontulet. Löydä metsäpolut ja lämmitä puulämmitteistä saunaa. Aitoja lappilaisia kokemuksia ilman kaupungin ruuhkaa. Keskellä ei mitään, mutta kuitenkin kaiken keskellä!
