Dedicated to the V&A’s collection of toys, from dollhouses and puppet theatres to Lego and action figures, this museum also offers plenty to admire from an adult perspective, from its mosaic floor to art exhibitions. Look for the sensory area, with a sandpit, dressing-up box, and interactive displays like a Victorian kitchen. Make sure that you find the leather rocking horses and take a ride. They have two sizes, with crash-mats all around.

Great museum with all amenities for parents with children. There's a great cafe inside and often lots of interactive options. Only a short 10 minute walk or bus ride and can keep small ones entertained for a long time on a rainy day.

The exterior of the building was designed by James William Wild in red brick in a Rundbogenstil (round-arched) style very similar to that in contemporary Germany.
