This is a Pittsburgh staple! Primanti Brothers started serving sandwiches out of a cart back in the days of the steel mills. In order to accommodate the long hours and short breaks imposed by the mills, they had the novel idea to just put the whole entire meal on a sandwich! The mills are mostly gone, and labor laws have created an actual lunch hour for workers now, but the restaurants still serve their classic all-in-one sandwiches. There are locations all over the city, but if you want to visit the original head over to the Strip District for a great lunch and an afternoon of Pittsburgh history!

It's my first time in Pittsburgh and I read it's a MUST do in town. Yelp said they are open for takeout but we were pleasantly surprised they are also open for dine in. We were so pleased on the friendly staff service and delicious sandwiches were served to us. My roast beef were so juicy covered with cheese and mountain of tangy slaw and and another of mountain of golden crispy fries on top finally covered by fluffy Italian bread. My friend ordered colossal fish sandwich. Both were so yummy ~ the bar is also open. I'll def recommend others to come to try . It's def Pittsburgh's MUST TRY . Come hungry all food comes in generous portion.
