Along Carlisle's highstreet lies an indoor shopping centre called The Lanes, and offers many of the biggest retail outlets, especially for clothing. It also hosts the library and has a number of places to eat.

You can get a bus or drive to Carlisle and it offers a good variety of shops, pubs and cafes.
