Donegal Castle is just a short walk away along the same street as Tirchonaill Townhouse. There is a guided tour and you can explore the historic Donegal Castle while learning all about the famous Red Hugh O'Donnell who once lived in Donegal Castle.

The Historic O'Donnell Castle situated in Donegal Town is a beautiful 15th century castle. It is open every day from Easter to Mid-September; & is open Monday - Thursday from Mid-September to Easter. It is also free to visit on the first Wednesday of every month.
