Too hot for doing anything but still want to do something nice? Then you are lucky to stay here because it’s just a 20 minutes bike ride to get to a beautiful lake. It’s a very popular place in summer so get there early to catch a shady spot. You can use NextBike to rent a bike for as long as you want. Get the app and let’s bike!

Great for taking a swim on a hot day, there's even a beach with a small bistro. To get there, either rent a bike from Nextbike (it's a lovely ride through the forest) or take the S-Bahn from Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz to Markkleeberg and walk or take a bus from there (much faster than the suggested connections on G-maps).

Popular lake that's surrounded by beaches and places to swim. Many nudists here in summer so maybe not for the prudish! The lake is one of the reclaimed open-pit coal mines in the area that's known as "neuseenland" ("new lakes district") that is now becoming a recreation area.
