Ensuite double room close to Offa’s Dyke PathWelcome back! We’re following Covid-19 cleaning guidelines but please contact us first if you need more detail. Kington is a small market town off the beaten track in Herefordshire but on the Welsh Border. Our cottage is in a quiet, secluded spot in the town whose amenities include food stores, cafes, takeaways and pubs. Offa’s Dyke Path passes within about 300m of our door. If you stay 2 nights when walking the Path, we can collect/deposit you from/to the trail free of charge.
Stunning rural location 4 miles from Hay on WyeThe property is a self contained annexe on the side of a stone farm house situated above the town of Hay-on-Wye, looking towards the Black Mountains, with fields that run down to the Offas Dyke pathway. It is an ideal base for walking, enjoying the River Wye or visiting Hay itself. We are very animal friendly and dogs are welcome , but will need to be kept on a lead when in the proximity of the free running poultry and sheep.
Bronte Retreat, Quiet bungalow with stunning viewsBronte Retreat is a light and airy bungalow with stunning views from the main lounge and private garden. It is set within the manor of Norton Canon, practically opposite the 13th century church of St Nicholas. It is attached to another bungalow where Josie (one of your hosts), runs a sub Post Office. Bronte Retreat is a quiet place to stay if you don't mind the odd tractor passing or one of 2 friendly dogs saying hello. The accommodation is more than adequate in size and home comforts.
