Oak Framed Home with Countryside Views & Hot Tub

Get back in touch with nature at this luxury cabin nestled in a quiet hamlet. Find tranquility on the terrace surrounded by breathtaking views, or lounge amid thoughtful decor and chic modern finishes in the exposed oak beam interior. Blue Vale is brand new as of June 2018! We helped to design this green oak framed building and have been involved in the whole process of building it, doing much of it ourselves. For our colour scheme we have used different shades of blue throughout, playing on the name of Blue Vale. The furnishing and finishing touches are of a high standard to help promote a comfortable and luxurious finish. There is an eclectic style combining modern country with industrial finishes. Luxury, high thread cotton bedding and towels, large flat screen smart tv's and luxury Neals Yard toiletries help to give the top-end finishing touches we would appreciate if we stayed away from home. Blue Vale is completely self contained but sits in the grounds of our family home. The decked outdoor living space is screened by trellis on the garden side with fields on the other. You would be very welcome to walk around our garden. We can be as interactive as you wish. With living in the same grounds we are close at hand if needed. We will welcome you when you arrive but will be respectful of your privacy. The glorious Blackmore Vale landscape is a tapestry of farmed green fields with a sprinkling of English villages, of which Sandley is one. Walk out (or cycle, using our available bikes) onto country lanes and venture along a web of footpaths to discover this unspoilt part of Dorset. Visit Stourhead, stroll around the ancient towns of Sherborne or Shaftesbury or discover the beautiful Jurassic coast. Visit Longleat safari park, Haynes Motor Museum, Monkey world & Yeovilton Air Museum. Sandley is a quiet hamlet with the neighbouring village of Buckhorn Weston just a mile away. The Stapleton Arms pub can be found here. We are 10 minutes away from the towns of Gillingham and Wincanton where various supermarkets, shops and services are. There is a train station in Gillingham which has a direct route to London in less than 2 hours. The larger cities of Bath and Salisbury are less than an hours drive and it takes around an hour to drive to the beautiful Jurassic coastline. The historic towns of Shaftesbury and Sherborne are only 15 and 20 minutes away respectively. The quiet rural roads and bridleways of the Blackmore Vale are excellent for cycling and walking. Blue Vale is in the grounds of our family home. There is a one- bedroomed B&B facility on the ground floor of our home.

Whether you're looking for a bolt hole for a few days exploring the beautiful South West & its stunning coast, or visiting on business, Little Townsend is the perfect base. The annex is set in a lovely garden with its own patio area; parking is on a secure drive. A London Waterloo mainline station is just 2 miles away, in Templecombe.

Courtyard Barn at Lois Farm is situated in a peaceful rural setting overlooking farmland with lovely views. Situated on the border of Somerset and Dorset there are many well-known places to visit close by for all ages. A beautifully furnished barn awarded 5 stars from VisitEngland. Sleeps 6 plus cots in three double bedrooms. A lovely south facing garden overlooking fields. Wood burner in the living room all logs provided. Games room with table tennis & table football. Lambs in the spring.

Godminster Manor Cottage

Set in a private cobbled courtyard on an organic farm, half a mile from Bruton, this old stone cottage has been lovingly restored. It has an inglenook fireplace, oak-framed roofs, flagstone and elm floors, with art and furniture collected over many years filling the rooms. Bruton is renowned for its restaurants and art galleries. The 'Newt in Somerset' is next door and there many other wonderful nearby destinations and beautiful walks from the farm within the surrounding countryside.

The Pavilion is a modern, purpose built holiday house in the quiet Somerset village of Yarlington. It has all the conveniences: Wood burning stove, underfloor heating, Washer & tumble dryer, Iron & ironing board, fast fibre optic broadband and a charging station for an electric or plug in hybrid car, but sadly the mobile phone signal is very poor. The house is next to the pub and a stones throw from the church. The Newt and Hauser Wirth Gallery in Bruton are within a 15 minute drive.

Little Combe

Little Combe offers a relaxing, peaceful and stylish self contained space for couples, or single travellers, within the idyllic Dorset countryside and is just 2 miles from the beautiful, historic town of Sherborne with it’s Castles, Abbey and local boutiques. Milborne Port offers excellent local amenities, a garage and an exceptional restaurant alongside pubs and a street market at the weekend. Enjoy glorious walks or even bring your horse for hacking or lessons with an instructor.

Perfect stopover location for those travelling to the West Country or attending events at the many local venues. We are ideal for those needing accommodation for work. Dbl bed, shower, TV, sofa, fridge, microwave/ oven, portable hob, kettle, toaster, breakfast basket, parking. Village pub (currently closed). There are other good pubs & restaurants within a 5 min drive.

Patten Cottage is a large, warm, comfortable 2-bedroom coach house conversion - full of character - that's well-equipped for a self-catered stay. It has a pretty private patio area and off-road parking for 3 cars. Located in the village of Holton, it's a 5-minute drive to Wincanton and the A303. It's easy to get to and a great base for exploring Somerset, Dorset and Wilts. Starter breakfast items are supplied: farm eggs, bread, cereal, milk, tea etc

Hill House Cottage

Located close to the centre of Templecombe Village, Hill House Cottage is a charming, self-contained wing of a Grade II listed early 18th century house. The property has been renovated to a high standard with exposed stonework, flagstone floors, and a lovely wood burning stove in the sitting room, creating a very special holiday accommodation. The cottage is within walking distance of a convenience store, the nearest pub is less than 1 mile away.
