The "Sunshine Cabin" enjoys ample natural sun year around from its lofty position up in the trees. The large picture window overlooking Big Lake provides a birds eye view (partial view) of both the canopy and lake. This 81’ deep lake has an island and home to many types of fish that's why we brought fishing/recreational kayaks for our guests. The boat launch access is just 1.6 miles from the sunshine cabin. The cabin is secluded on 1.45 acres of trees. The place has 18 stairs to the 2nd floor.

Our subdivision is ideally situated among thousands of acres of public land near the beautiful Au Sable River. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and full of nature. Come and enjoy all this beautiful area has to offer, including hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, trail riding, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, etc. A boat launch for the Au Sable River, an ORV trailhead and DJs Scenic Bar are within a mile of the cabin (in McKinley). Hiking and skiing trails are 10-15 minutes from the cabin.

You can relax outside by the fire pit or get cozy inside the sitting room that overlooks Lake Huron and has a spectacular view. We have a separate game room equipped with shuffleboard and a 65" smart TV. Bring your boat right up to the private dock or use the 2 kayaks that are included with your stay. Can't beat the location! You can walk or bike to the shops, restaurants, parks and beaches.

Papa's place is a cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin that over looks Tawas Lake, great for fishing, kayaking & bird watching. The cabin features a fully stocked kitchen, open living space with a 50" smart TV and wood stove for those cool spring & fall nights. The quaint town of East Tawas is only minutes away that offers wonderful shops & restaurants. Tawas beach (Lake Huron) is less than 2 miles away. Come for a night or stay the week on Michigan’s sunrise side.
