Vi soggiornò per esempio lo scrittore francese Stendhal che inserì l'Albergo Ristorante Delfino nella "Guida ad uso di chi viaggia in Italia" del 1828. Antonio Fogazzaro ambientò invece il celebre romanzo " Piccolo Mondo Antico". Con accesso privato ed indipendente accanto alla Serra del borgo antico dell'Isola.
