The place is about half an hour walking from the main road that connects Praia-Assomada-Tarrafal and approximately two kilometers from the city centre of Picos (Achada Igreja). From Leitãozinho one can take several hiking routes throughout nice villages such as Burbur, Achada Leitão, Faveta, Jalalo Ramos, Mato Dentu, Mato Forte, Covão grande, among others.
