There are great beach parks on both sides of the bridge for a picnic and beach-combing. If the silvers or pinks are running, you can cast a line off of the beach just under the bridge and perhaps catch your dinner!

Easily the best restaurant on South Whidbey (and I include the famous but in our opinion overrated Inn at Langley in that group)Chef Vincent Nattress is a Whidbey native but lived in Napa Valley for a time and was a chef at the Michelin rated Meadowood restaurant. His farm-to table fare at his wonderful property in Bayview, a few miles away, is an experience not to be missed! Reservations a must, especially in the summer.
