Hyams Beach is one of the most popular of the myriad bays and beaches inside the Jervis Bay area. The Guinness Book of Records reports Hyams Beach as having the whitest sand in the world Facing east and looking directly at Point Perpendicular, Hyams rarely receives any swell other than a gentle shore break in a north-easter, making it a safe family beach. Like all beaches in the bay, it is unpatrolled. At the north end of the wide two kilometre shoreline is a rock platform with its own sandy beach - and a top snorkelling spot. Hyams Beach village is often parked out in busy periods so they recommend making a day of it by parking at Greenfield Beach and taking the White Sands Walk to Hyams.
