Sightseeing

The Gifford House, on the scenic drive approx. 1/2 mile past the Capitol Reef visitor center, is a nice stop within your Capitol Reef visit. Located just east of the Fremont River trail, you can get a snack, some locally made foods or other gifts, and learn about the early pioneers who lived in this area. Outdoor picnic tables with amazing views.

Set down in the gray badlands 30 miles east of Torrey, between North and South Cainville Mesa. The store is nothing fancy, but the food is grown in a sustainable, holistic way. This is the real deal!
