This a great relaxed very small "bistro" that is really a Japanese restaurant that serves really good fresh sushi, and all the rest. They also do kids meals, Japanese style, while at the same time you can get cheap bowling club priced drinks, let the kids go crazy in the toy corner, or let them run like crazy on the spare bowling green. The bistro does only take cash, but you can get money out at the ATM inside the club, or pay by card at the bar.

Ok, they do a decent range of lunch foods, but if you want to satisfy that sweet craving they are the place to go for cakes, biscuits and all the rest. Check out the cake displays on the tables in front of the cash register before ordering. My seven year old also says they do really good milkshakes!

Family friendly and a decent range of meals that are better than your average Aussie pub meal. In winters they light the fire, in summer the beer garden is a lovely place to hang out and there is a small playground for children.

Parks & Nature
A great place to cool off when its hot. This is the place Orange locals go in summer. It's about a 30 minute drive from Millthorpe. There are even a couple of "beaches with sand", plus a playground on the far side of the lake. Bbqs are scattered around the park. Dogs are allowed here and there is a track around the lake for walking.

See the video about the nearby Cadia gold mine (a lot of locals work at the mine), but most of their exhibits are of old farm machinery with plenty of buttons for children to press and see how the machinery worked.
