This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Beacon. It is still a favorite, but now it's a "supper club". They serve the same menu to everyone and the menu changes once every month or two. You can get an optional cocktail pairing. It's not cheap and you have to book in advance. But definitely one of the more unique dining experiences in Beacon!

Slightly more upscale dining in an old bank building (you can still see the massive namesake vault behind the bar). Great for a fancier dinner or weekend brunch/lunch.

Known for it's burgers (which are great) but I'm addicted to their crispy chicken sandwich. Fairly limited menu but everything is good and they always have a few specials going. Great cocktails and super friendly service. They have a lovely patio out back.

This is one of Beacon's top destinations. I remember the winter it opened (2018?) when I saw a huge line of people snaking around the block - something you almost never see in Beacon, much less in the middle of winter. They specialize in "sour" beers and believe me, it has a huge following. They have some cool outdoor spaces and I believe more are due to open shortly. They have a food truck outside that changes from time to time. Lately it has been a pizza truck which is excellent. By far the best pizza in Beacon. They have a super cool outdoor space that is great to hang out in. You can easily spend the entire afternoon here. And you can walk home on the tracks!

I remember the winter it opened (2018?) when I saw a huge line of people snaking around the block - something you almost never see in Beacon, much less in the middle of winter. They specialize in "sour" beers and believe me, it has a huge following. They have some cool outdoor spaces and I believe more are due to open shortly. Cool art deco bar with super interesting cocktails and light food. It's attached to Beacon Movie Theatre and you can bring your food and drinks in (though it's just as fun if you're not watching a movie)

It’s a bit out of the way but if you happen to be in Poughkeepsie, definitely check this place out. The sandwiches, bread, cheese, pasta, etc are all super authentic and delicious. Buy something to eat there to to cook at home

Great spot for a gift/souvenir or a bespoke s’more right on the spot. I buy their make at home kits and bring them to dinner parties with my blowtorch. It’s always a big hit!

The Roundhouse is a cool bar, restaurant, event space and boutique hotel built in an old factory building overlooking Beacon's famous waterfall. The food is pricey and hit-or-miss on quality (in my opinion). The highlight is the amazing setting - particularly the patio in nice weather.

There are many marked and unmarked hiking trails, all interconnected - it would take years to hike them all. This is the most popular trail head in Beacon, from which you can access the entire Hudson Highlands park.
