Parks & Nature

It's a great green park with sculptures (made from plants) and a pond. There's dog walkers, Frisbee players, and people reading on benches. While not that big, it's great for being inside the city. And the library is on one end of it.

A total of 40 acres, most of that is outside so it's best during the summer. Although in the building they have plants from around the world, butterfly room (depending on time of year), and Dale Chihuly sculptures throughout the place.

Arts & Culture

It recently added a modern art wing in a new modern addition to the building, so you get this great mix of old school and new school (both architecture and art) right next to each other. It's also free on Sundays.

My favorite place in the city. An old mansion has been turned into a maze, with rooms and rooms full of books. I can spend hours in there. Right next to it is a great coffee shop (Staufs) and it's in the heart of German Village (great historic area).

It's science! It's like a huge hands-on museum with everything from dinosaurs to travelling exhibits about Legos (and how to make cool stuff with them). It also has a planetarium.

Food Scene

This hole-in-the-wall is so small it doesn't even have servers, but the food is delicious. Great for breakfast or brunch. Try the salmon BLT.

Farm to table food with a mix of classic and creative flavors. Mostly go there for brunch (get there early to avoid the line), but heard their dinners are just as good.

Admittedly kind of hipster, it does have good food and drinks. They do locally-grown and locally-sourced foods, with seasonal ingredients that they like to get creative with.

Drinks & Nightlife

Would you like a hand-crafted old fashioned? They have great classic cocktails, new interesting mixes, and all made with fresh stuff. Great list of liquors too if you like it neat or on the rocks.

Sightseeing

Along the Scioto Mile, there's numerous parks (especially Bicentennial and Columbus Commons), Milestone 229 (restaurant), and more. There's constantly festivals down there in the summer (you can also kayak on the river) and amazing Christmas lights for the winter. It won't be hard finding *something* going on near the Scioto.
