Food Scene
Nearby pub and restaurant, originating from 17th century (although little remains of the original interior!). Nicely prepared and presented meals. Not cheap but not overly expensive (a main meal is about £12-14).

Parks & Nature
There is an entrance to this park from Priory Lane (10-15 minute walk). A massive park that used to be the hunting grounds of Henry VIII...there are herds of wild deer roaming freely in the park that are the descendants of the deer the king used to hunt! Beautiful old oak trees of around 500 years old still stand, some with big hollows in their trunks. There is also a lake and various cafes in the park.

A small supermarket in the Shell petrol station, open late. Good for nice quality ready meals (Chinese, Indian, Italian, etc). Not good for fresh produce (go to the nearby Coop supermarket for that)

Getting Around
The closest underground station. Take bus 85 from the bottom of Medfield Street direction Putney. It will be about a 3-5 minute walk along Upper Richmond Rd if you get off the bus at the junction of Upper Richmond Rd and Putney High St.

East Putney Underground Station
