Open 8am-1:30pm on Saturdays. Pick up delicious farm fresh produce here! It is a wonderful place to browse local vendors with a great view of the lake. Lots of food vendors as well. The stand out for me is Flossie's Sandwiches. They are absolutely delicious hot sandwiches made with all local ingredients. They do pop ups around the county on other days. They also do catering here at the house if needed. You can contact them on Instagram at flossies_sandwiches.

Lovely little bakery and coffee shop. Based on the European model of baking everything in the morning and then closing once it's sold for siesta (must be nice!). They serve coffee until 3pm but the kitchen closes once they sell out - best to go in the morning for the best selection! I like to walk over in the morning and pick up fresh baked scones and croissants to have with coffee back at the house.

I've tried all of the small plates and especially enjoyed the popcorn chicken karagi, the slider and fried fish bao bun. The fries are excellent as well. I was really impressed overall, the service and wine list were great. I would recommend this for a nice group dinner with lots of delicious options to share. Reservation recommended.

The food is good and I would suggest doing lunch here and then exploring the mythical Lake on the Mountain (exactly what it sounds like) after eating.

The fish tacos are made with local Bay of Quinte fish and are phenomenal. Beef and chicken tacos are also recommended. The tuna tostada is standout. Those are my favourite bites here - there are a few items like the tostones that have let me down but overall this is a fantastic place. It gets extremely busy and they don't take reservations so I recommend going early and getting your name on the list then going for a drink at one of the bars in Wellington.

This is a beautiful modern restaurant with a wood fire grill. They are known for their steaks and oysters. I recommend making a reservation as it gets busy. Also it's one of the more expensive restaurants in the county.

Housed in a converted industrial space right here in Wellington, this bar is a great place to have some local beers. Try the Horn Trip by StrangeBrew Co. If it's available, it's fast becoming an iconic County beer. The food is also very good with Neil Dowson now running the kitchen. He is a former chef at the Savoy Hotel in London. It is one of the few places in the county to watch sports - especially NHL games in the winter. In the winter there is an ice rink located in the parking lot with free skates as well. Very fun!

This beach is great to stop at on your way out of the County if you are heading back to the GTA because it's basically on the way. I recommend checking out not just the main beach facing lake Ontario but climbing over the dunes to the warmer waters of North Bay.

There are many shops in Bloomfield. It's the shopping capital of the county - especially for antiques. My recommendation is to spend an afternoon walking the main street. All of the shops are great and it's a great activity. Make sure to stop at the famous Slicker's Ice Cream for a break!
