The Kangaroo Point river walk and cycle path, which circumnavigates the peninsula, is a picturesque path of about 7km return which takes in sculptures, historic relics, mangrove walk, picnic and BBQ spots and quaint viewing platforms. The path, which is mostly shaded, is split for pedestrians and cyclists most of the way, making for a relaxing walk, with plenty of waterfront benches to stop and enjoy the views of the city, Story Bridge and Howard Smith Wharves. There are also riverfront cafes perfect for a halfway coffee and refreshment. A great place to start is at the Queensland Maritime Museum.

This charming Newstead riverfront walk of approximately 2km return passes Brisbane's by oldest house and ends at a stunning cafe brasserie on Breakfast Creek. The clearly signposted entrance to the riverwalk can be found opposite Gasworks Plaza so park in the streets around here, or alternatively, take a ferry to Teneriffe Terminal and walk 5 minutes along Skyring Tce towards the plaza.

Situated in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane's Chinatown Mall is a hive of activity that draws as many locals as it does visitors. From the moment you pass under the traditional Chinese gates, complete with 320 kilogram stone guard-lions, you'll be treated to a feast for the senses. Maybe it's the hustle and bustle of the Chinese supermarkets, the smells and sounds of exotic ingredients meeting a sizzling wok, or the steaming Yum Cha breakfasts shared with friends that bring people back time and time again. Whatever the case, Chinatown is always at the ready to enthral and delight.

Still one of the best clubs in Brisbane. Awesome R&B club where the DJs actually listen to the crowd and play great music! The only letting it down is the $15 cover charge at the door. "The best thing about this place is the light up dance floor on the top floor."
