Great heat and eat foods such as Moroccan chicken, Jambalya, lasagna... All kinds of good snacks for hiking. Plus they also have Smokin' Good Barbeque, which is in a funky orange trailer located in their parking lot. It gets excellent reviews!

Great people. Local groceries such as farm fresh eggs, greens, cheeses, meats. Nice breakfast menu. Friday is taco night. You can even rent a kayak there!

Combined with her husband and grown children, this family owned restaurant offers a kid friendly, lively social atmosphere accented by truly memorable food and drink. Additionally, diners can choose the bistro side of the restaurant for quieter, more intimate settings.

Step Falls is at the foot of Grafton Notch State Park, where the Appalacian Trail crosses Route 26. The falls are a perfect place for a hot summer day. The trail is mildly steep (you are going along a stream that is a series of waterfalls), but certainly worth the effort when you select and settle into one of the personal size "pools" that gently swirl below each fall. Bring a picnic, have the kids wear old shorts instead of bathing suits 'cause they'll wear out that nylon lycra in one or two trips down the waterfall shoot. Keep in mind that this is a popular spot, so you will likely be among others....perhaps many.

I love this grocery store because it's one of the last of the smaller stores where you don't have to make lots of decisions. The selection may be less than what others are accustomed to, but I've bought all my groceries there for years and have never felt underserved.
