One of the best kept secrets of our Norwegian fjordlands is the variety of spectacular mountain hikes lying off the beaten track. This is where the locals prefer to walk, enjoying the silence of nature, interrupted only by a bird flying overhead, or a chat during a welldeserved rest at a viewpoint. All access to nature is free in Norway, as long as you promise to leave nothing but footprints. There are too many hiking trips to mention here, but you can visit the website www.VisitSuldal.no for maps and more information.
