Home cooked food including various breakfasts/lunches and amazing coffees. Relaxed atmosphere staff very friendly. Again located in the area of Corstorphine 5 mins drive, 20 mins walk.

This is a real find its like Venice beach (California) in Scotland. it has one of the most spectacular views of the firth of forth. Home made soups, various toasted sandwiches hot drinks fab cakes and ice cream galore. whilst listening to music inside or out. There are wooded gazebos and blankets outside for the not so nice days. it is surrounded by a promenade that goes on for miles greenery and a fine beach to go for a delightful walk or build a sand castle.

This restaurant is very much a fine bistro which serves a very varied menu including breakfasts/lunches/dinner also drinks including some fine cocktails. This is a 15 min drive from my guesthouse bus stop around the corner if travelling by bus.

There are many museums in Edinburgh but this is the mother of them all it has a bit of everything, well worth a visit. You can take a lift up to the top floor in the new part of the museum and see a spectacular view of the city. There is also a cafe in the museum and a lovely restaurant next door. There are many cafes and bars around this area.
